Description from their site: “The purpose of the festival is to produce a grand celebration to recognize the importance of the peanut to the Southwest Texas agriculture, although it is now an endangered crop in the area, and to celebrate the farming and harvesting of the peanut in the Wilson County area. Also to provide scholarships for the young men and women that participates in the Royal Court of the Association. The Festival also is an attraction for tourist to come and visit Historic Floresville......”
